Commission on Human Rights decision 1999/107


At its 56th meeting, on 27 April 1999, the Commission on Human Rights, taking note of resolution 1998/5 of 20 August 1998 of the Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities, decided, without a vote, to endorse the decision of the Sub-Commission to appoint Mr. Marc Bossuyt as Special Rapporteur to undertake a study on the concept and practice of affirmative action as described in resolution 1998/5, which will pay specific attention to the recommendations made by the Sub-Commission and the Commission so as to refine further the focus and methods of the study.
