 Contenu |  International system for the protection of human rights; implementation of international human rights standards in Austria. The programme is designed to serve those directly concerned with human rights and those with a more general interest in human rights. Objectives of the program: to make participants familiar with the international human rights system; to solve problems regarding national implementation of international standards; to strengthen human rights awareness throughout the public administration; to provide training for human rights-related activities abroad, including field missions. |  |

 Informations supplémentaires |  The program consists of four mandatory seminars (10 days) and another four seminars (10 days) that can be selected from the seminars offered. The seminars offered in 2000/2001 are:
Mandatory
The Human Rights Agenda of the EU for the Year 2000; The European Convention on Human Rights; The human rights standards of the United Nations and their implementation in Austria; Recent jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court.

The functions of human rights coordinators in federal ministries and provincial governments; OSCE and Human Rights; The European Convention on the Prevention of Torture; Human Rights in the Former Yugoslavia; Measures against violence in the family; Placement of the mentally ill; Bioethics and the law; Data protection; Freedom of assembly and association; Freedom of opinion and media law; Asylum and immigration Law; Equal treatment in the federal administration; Right extremism as a challenge to public administration; Racism and xenophobia – psycho-analytical and human rights aspects.
