 Content summary |  This book is the fourth volume of the publication series entitled Human Rights Education in Asia Schools. The book is a compilation of various papers, most of which were written for different workshops and conferences from April 2000 to March 2001. Following the introduction, the book presents the experiences of various human rights education programs in the countries of Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, the Philippines and Cambodia. The book then considers the training and evaluation of education systems and surveys, giving particular emphasis to training workshops on human rights education in South Asian and Bangladeshi schools. The syllabuses and education systems of Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India are also considered in depth in this volume. Also included in the volume, is the report on the midterm global evaluation of the UN Decade for Human Rights Education (1995-2004). |  |
