Content | Faculty members of the Human Rights Centre are working with the BAR of England and Wales Human Rights Committee project to bring human rights education to secondary schools. The project has already published a booklet on human rights education, launched in conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of the UDHR, which was distributed to all secondary schools in the United Kingdom. In the next phase of the program, volunteer barristers will be conducting a series of talks at local secondary schools to teach students about human rights, in particular the new Human Rights Act. A working party has been established in order to develop additional resources that will be used by visiting barristers in preparation for their talks to schools. | |
