 Contenu |  This training program aims to deepen and broaden knowledge of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and focuses on models by which to monitor the Convention. The program also introduces the Ombudsman's work on behalf of children and other forms of institutional and official ways of promoting children's rights. In addition, the program aims to give participants opportunities to exchange ideas and experience in supporting children's rights in their own countries. |  |

 Procédure d’inscription |  The application should be made on a special form, including a recent photograph. The completed application form should be sent to the nearest Swedish embassy. The embassy will forward the application to the Office of the Children's Ombudsman. In some countries, the application must pass the ministry responsible for the official nomination of the candidate. |  |
 Conditions d’admission |  The target group comprises leading politicians and senior civil servants in national bodies and agencies and leading representatives from NGOs working on behalf of children's rights. The course also might admit academics in the fields of law, social sciences, and related areas. The applicant should be nominated by one of the above mentioned bodies. Since the course will be held in English, the candidates must know enough English to follow the course and take part in the discussions in that language. |  |

scholarships: Candidates who are admitted to the program receive scholarships from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency covering the participation fee as well as the cost of accommodation and meals. Local transportation within the programme is included, as well as the trip to and from Sweden. All lectures, literature and documents, study visits, and cultural events within the programme are free of charge. The participants should cover their own personal expenses. |  |
