It's a support programme for teachers including training and conferences. Content varies according to the theme chosen and the year involved. Objectives of the programme: to promote human rights education in the formal sector. To introduce teachers to human rights education and how it relates to the curriculum. To support teachers in their human rights education work through the provision of human rights education training and resource material. To involve teachers in debate on human rights education through the annual human rights education conference. | |

Workshops are delivered by Amnesty Staff in association with Amnesty members. The Conference is delivered by staff of the organisations implementing the conference in association with other speakers, teachers etc. | |

The Conference is organised on a national basis, while the workshops
are carried out in towns around the country.
The programme is funded by the National Committee for Development
Education (with staff costs coming from the organisations involved).
