E-mail notification of treaty body recommendations

This facility enables you to sign up for e-mail notification of the treaty body recommendations emanating from the eight treaty bodies established to monitor the international human rights treaties that are administered by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (Geneva). These treaty bodies are the Committee against Torture, the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, the Committee on the Rights of the Child and the Human Rights Committee and the Committee on the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

These committees meet periodically to examine the reports of States parties to the treaties and formulate concluding comments or observations, to formulate general comments or recommendations interpreting the respective treaties, to taking decisions on individual complaints (in some cases), and to undertake other activities. By signing up to this facility, you will be provided at, or shortly after, the conclusion of the relevant sessions of each committee, with these documents. They will usually be in advance unedited version, as adopted in the original language. Final versions in the other languages of the committees will subsequently be available through the website.
