Conclusions and recommendations concerning the third periodic report of Croatia (CAT/C/54/Add.3; CAT/C/CR/32/3)
1. At the invitation of the Chairman, Mr. Sočanac (Croatia) took a place at the Committee table.
2. Mr. RASMUSSEN (Country Rapporteur) read out the conclusions and recommendations of the Committee (CAT/C/CR/32/3) on the third periodic report of Croatia (CAT/C/54/Add.3).
3. Mr. SOČANAC (Croatia) thanked the members of the Committee for their conclusions and recommendations, which would receive due consideration from the relevant ministries of his country. He hoped that complying with the Committee's recommendations would help Croatia in the next phase of its journey towards accession to the European Union. His Government would submit combined fourth and fifth periodic reports as the Committee had recommended.
4. Mr. Sočanac (Croatia) withdrew.
The public part of the meeting rose at 3.30 p.m.
